The fifth edition of the enthralling festival begins April 3, 2016 in Goa

Cashew Trail is an annual event that was conceptualized by Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa in association with Madame Rosa Distillery in 2012. This event was curated to showcase the legacy of the fruit of Goa – the cashew in its many forms and manifestations to the global audience so as to create another rare and unique Park Hyatt experience. April is the ideal time for this unique celebration being the perfect harvest season for cashews, showcasing the fruit in its true glory.

Celebrating its fifth season in April 2016, Cashew Trail has evolved manifold as an experiential event at Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa drawing audiences and attendees from across the globe. Below are the key events that have been planned for the 2016 edition in April

THE BIKING EXCURSION FROM VALPOI

Sunday, April 3, 2016; by invitation only

Bringing alive the farm to table experience, the group of Harley enthusiasts shall cover the route from Madame Rosa Cashew Farm in Valpoi to the hotel and officially inaugurate the fifth edition of cashew Trail over a delectable brunch with their families at Palms.

FENI APPRECIATION & COCKTAILS

Monday, April 4, 2016 – 1930 – 2200 hours; INR 750 plus taxes per person

The master class has been an iconic event at the start of cashew Trail wherein a group of discerning connoisseurs enjoy the rare collection of the choicest variants of Feni specially presented for the launch of Cashew Trail by Madame Rosa. The feni appreciation class will be followed by exquisite cocktails that are a fusion of explosive flavours, blending spices and seasonal fruits with feni and urak to create the innovative Buenisima, Orange Sunrise and Fenirinha among others.

SHAKE IT UP WITH MAYNARD

Tuesday, April 5, 2016 – 1600 – 1800 hours; INR 750 plus taxes per person

A fun spirited afternoon with the cocktail master Maynard Dcosta where he shares with you finer nuances of making delightful cocktails and helps you create some feni infused concoctions for the evening.

COCKTAIL CLASH – feni based cocktail competition among Goa’s leading hotels

Wednesday, April 6, 2016 – 1400 – 1800 hours; By invitation only

A high spirited test of skill for seasoned bartenders, from five-star hotels across Goa. Witness the friendly banter as they compete to create the best concoction from the ingredients in our mystery box, infused creatively with Feni and Urak. The event will be judged by the best in the business and the winner takes home a lot more than inspiring memories.

CASHEW RITUAL AT SERENO SPA

Indulge in a unique sensorial spa experience where indigenous ingredients interplay with contemporary spa techniques. Begin your treatment with an aromatic cashew scrub. The scrub is a handmade mixture of cashew nuts, oils and kernels that gently exfoliates and cleanses the skin. Following this is a detoxifying cashew wrap as well as a deep-tissue massage with cashew oil in its purest form. Using firm rhythmic strokes our spa therapists skillfully apply cold-pressed virgin cashew oil in a massage designed to nourish and relax. Conclude your treatment with a refreshing cashew nectar drink as you relax and rejuvenate.

EXCURSION TO A CASHEW FACTORY AND LUNCH AT SPICE PLANTATION

During the cashew trail festivities, guests can experience an excursion to a Cashew Farm to witness the typical process of fruit picking, sorting and more and also if they are lucky the first distil process for urak. The Spice Plantation in Savoy is a discerning estate where guests are greeted by a sumptuous home style lunch prepared by the lady of the house with ingredients sourced from the farm. The Lunch is followed by an interactive tour of the plantation. On your way back, you can also stop by at a cashew factory to see the meticulous way the skilled labor extracts and segregates the cashew nut for us to relish.
