Oreo Cookie Milkshake

Allow me to start off by stating the obvious – there is no one correct way to enjoy an Oreo cookie. There are SEVERAL. You can eat it by itself, do it the original way by dunking it in milk, making an Oreo cookie iced coffee, Oreo cookie ice cream, cakes.. you name it and it can be done! So I did just that. My sister is battling exam fever, and I decided to whip up an Oreo cookie milkshake to help her feel better. Not only does it taste heavenly, it’s super fun and easy to make. So whether you’ve got kids at home to entertain, friends with a sweet tooth, you’re nursing a wounded heart or you just simply love Oreos (who doesn’t, right?)  this my lovelies is for you! ❤

This recipe serves 1.

For the cookie ice cubes* you will need:

4 oreo cookies
A couple of tablespoons of milk
An ice tray

For the milkshake you will need:

9 Oreo cookie ice cubes
1 scoop of ice cream
1/2 cup milk
2-3 tsp sugar (depending on how sweet you would like it to be)
Chocolate syrup
Chocolate shavings/vermicelli/chips

1. Break the cookies into thick crumbs and place them at the bottom of the ice tray. Pour milk over this and freeze for a couple of hours or overnight.
2. In a blender, add the cookie ice cubes, sugar and milk. Blend well.
3. Take a tall glass and pour some chocolate syrup (I use the original Hershey’s syrup) onto the sides. Pour out the blended Oreo cookie milkshake into the glass. Top it with some chocolate chips, chocolate vermicelli, chocolate shavings, whatever makes you happy.
4. Voila ! Serve super chilled with preferably a fun straw 😀

Do try this and let me know what you think!
